Used TVR T400

TVR, a renowned carmaker, manufactured the TVR 400 from April 1, 2001 to December 31, 2007. The TVR T400 is a sports coupe made in the tradition of all TVR cars – durable, fast, reliable with a unique design, and styling. The TV t400, or more commonly known as TVR T400R, comes with a powerful 4.0-liter unleaded petrol engine. This 3996 cc six–cylinder multi-point injection engine, which is capable of generating 400 horsepower and producing 320 lb/ft of torque at 6000 rpm, is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It is the traditional practice of TVR not to equip their cars with a lot of safety aids. This is because TVR does not believe that such features improve the performance of cars in any way and that their cars, anchored as they are on excellent mechanicals and technology, are as safe as any car in its segment. Obviously, TVR felt that it is not yet time to discard this long-standing tradition and the result of this is that the t400 does not have traction control, automatic braking system (ABS), and even such basic safety equipment as an airbag. With other carmakers having less sterling reputation than the TVR, the absence of these safety features is crude and will keep buyers away. When it comes to other customer needs, however, TVR can be overly generous and this can be seen in the various standard features of the t400. For car security, the TVR t400 has an alarm, immobilizer, and central locking system. It is difficult for the driver and companion to be bored even during particularly heavy traffic or when traveling long stretches of straight roads, as the TVR t400 is equipped with an excellent audio system – a CD/radio unit with RDS. Internal standard features intended to provide comfort and convenience to occupants are power steering, high quality leather seats, electric front windows and mirrors, and air conditioning, while standard external features include alloy wheels and metallic paint. TVR also provides an option for a satellite navigation system. The used TVR t400, a rear wheel drive coupe, has a 2565 mm wheelbase, is 4367 mm in length, 1880 in width, and 1210 mm in height. Power distribution through a functional gearshift allows the car to glide easily over the most uneven roads. Off the block, the TVR t400 is quick and settles down to cruising speed without much effort. There is no mistaking the car for what it is – a TVR.
